Your opportunities expand when you enroll in Doane University’s dual-credit program.
Current high school sophomores, juniors and seniors eager to challenge themselves and jump-start their undergraduate degree can take college-level courses from Doane faculty at a reduced rate, drastically lessening the time and cost of a degree. Credits apply to a bachelor’s degree at Doane University in any of our 30+ majors, and are transferable to other four-year institutions.
Start college on the right foot — and miles ahead — with as many as 33 credit hours to your name. Dual-credit classes are taught online by Doane faculty. And when combined with Doane’s liberal arts approach, will push you to think critically and creatively, communicate effectively and navigate complex topics. A valuable skill set that sets you apart as a leader in any career.

Check off general requirements or dive into studying your dream career. Pre-designed pathways ensure you meet standards through a set of courses that apply to an academic major at Doane University and most other four-year institutions.
Complete up to 33 credit hours of general requirements that can be applied toward any bachelor’s degree at Doane. Get a taste of the immersive liberal arts education synonymous with Doane as you take courses focused on foundational areas of knowledge:
- Community and Identity
- Rhetorical Communication
- Global and Cultural Context
- Scientific Perspectives
- Human Creativity
- In Search of Meaning and Values
- Liberal Arts Studies
- Experiential Learning
- Mathematical Reasoning
Doane has a reputation of being one of the best educator preparatory programs and is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation.
The EPiC pathway prepares future teachers and educators with the skills, resources and confidence to lead a classroom or school. Dual-Credit Program students enrolled in this pathway will earn credit toward their bachelor’s degree in early or secondary education.
Students enrolled in the EPiC pathway are also encouraged to take courses in the Doane Core pathway to complement their education courses.
Students from participating schools can take this pathway for free!
Are you interested in a career in Exercise Science? Exercise Science is the study of movement and the associated functional responses and adaptations. A degree in Exercise Science can lead to a career in Personal Training, Corporate Wellness, Strength and Conditioning, or preparation to be admitted into a pre-professional graduate program in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
You can begin exploring your major and career through the Exercise Science pathway.
