Gamma Phi Iota Sorority

Gamma Phi Iota's mission is to promote fellowship and oneness among women striving towards the same ends. It encourages commitment, personal growth and leadership. Gamma Phi Iota accomplishes this by having women that are seen around campus participating and leading in athletics, Relay For Life, honor societies and other student organizations at Doane.

The sorority is proud of its history of high academic achievement and leadership. With over 900 alumni, Gamma Phi Iota has influenced the lives of numerous women, creating lasting friendships – and memories – in the process.  As it was in the beginning, and as it is now, through Gamma Phi Iota, members learn the importance of fellowship, working to promote unity, and encourage personal individuality while continuing to develop valuable leadership skills, social skills and character.

Philanthropy
Gamma Phi Iota continued its strong commitment to service by completing over 417 community service hours during the spring semester of 2019. Recent service commitments include assisting with the Crete backpack program, buying gifts for Operation Christmas Child, Relay For Life, highway clean-up, Crete Pumpkin Festival and Special Olympics.
