Lincoln Education Association – Retired (LEA-R) Scholarship
Award
The Lincoln Education Association – Retired (LEA-R) and Union Bank will co-sponsor up to four $1,000 scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year. The LEA-R Board of Directors determines the number and amounts of scholarships each year.
Eligibility
Scholarships are limited to graduates of Lincoln Public High Schools, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Student Teaching Requirement:
Applicants must plan to student teach in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.
Grade Level:
Scholarships are available to elementary and secondary practice teachers, though awards do not need to be divided equally between these categories.
Non-Discrimination Policy:
Recipients are selected without regard to financial need, race, sex, nationality, or religion.
Selection Authority:
The LEA-R Board of Directors or its designated representatives will make all selection decisions. Applications may be rejected at the Board's discretion, and all decisions are final.
Scholarship Process
Selection procedures occur in the spring for scholarships applying to the following fall or spring semesters.
