Lincoln Community Foundation

The Lincoln Community Foundation administers more than 70 different scholarship funds--many of which are for students who live outside of Lincoln/Lancaster County! Each scholarship is unique and supports students of a variety of backgrounds, educational levels and economic backgrounds. Students are encouraged to submit a General Application, on the Lincoln Community Foundation website. You will be automatically matched to scholarships for which you are fully eligible. It is not necessary for you to review the entire list of scholarships on the Lincoln Community Foundation website.

After submitting your General Application, you will be automatically matched to scholarships for which you are fully eligible. It is not necessary for you to review the entire list of scholarships on the Lincoln Community Foundation website. After submitting your General Application, you will see tiles for scholarships on the “My Applications” tab. Then, be sure to go to the Opportunities tab on your account to see additional “Recommended” scholarship opportunities for which you may be eligible but require answers to a few additional questions. These questions might include reference requests, brief essays, or other documentation. References will automatically receive a link to complete a reference form directly within the system. It is important to note that the deadline for references is the same as that of the application. It is also very important to apply well enough ahead of the deadline to allow references to respond! After submitting, these applications will also appear on the “My Applications” tab.
