Doane University's graduate programs in education offer degrees in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as Educational Leadership. They consist of coursework and supervised field experiences, and are designed to develop and enhance the knowledge, attitude, and skills of participants. Professional Certification or Administrative Certification is obtained by completing the applicable education or teaching graduate programs.
Course Offerings Across Nebraska
In addition to offering courses on our campuses, we also teach courses in Hastings, Norfolk and North Platte.
Expanding on educational offerings, the Curriculum and Instruction program is now offered as an online program. Online courses are designed by Doane professors and taught through the course management system Blackboard.
Curriculum and Instruction
The Masters in Education (M.Ed.) program is committed to excellence while giving special attention to the needs of K-12 teachers. Many of the classes offered through our site-based graduate programs in Nebraska are held in K-12 schools across the state. Currently, Doane offers the Masters of Education program in approximately 16 locations in Nebraska.
Course content for the Master of Education is designed with concern for:
- best practice
- current research
- commitment to the application
- evaluation of the content
Doane's holistic approach recognizes that the cumulative effects of the completed Master of Education graduate degree program are greater than the sum of the courses.
