Financing Your Education

Education is one of the most important, and possibly the first, big investment of your life. Spend some time researching scholarships as they can be a big factor in financing your years at college. If you enrolled in classes at Doane College prior to Fall 2014, then please use the following document to determine your academic scholarship requirements. Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) Maximum Award $2,500

Awarded to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s degree and demonstrate exceptional financial need (Pell Grant eligible). Funding is limited.

Apply for the FAFSA.  

2 full-time semesters or 4 full-time terms per academic year

Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship $5,000 / $10,000

To qualify for the scholarship, students must have a GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and be enrolled in an accredited college for university for the Spring 2015 semester.

Students may apply for the scholarship through the Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship Website.

 

Federal Direct Subsidized & Unsubsidized Stafford Loans Determined by FAFSA and grade level.

Subsidized Stafford loans are available to undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need and are enrolled at least half-time.

Apply for the FAFSA.

 

Clark Scholarship

Any student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at any time during calendar year 2014 at any accredited American college, university or trade school.

Road to Success Scholarship

Students must be at least 18 years old, an American citizen and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in the 2014 academic year.

Students participating must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college, or university in the U.S.
