Financing Your Education

Education is one of the most important, and possibly the first, big investment of your life. Spend some time researching scholarships as they can be a big factor in financing your years at college.

Board of Trustee's Scholarship Up to $48,000 ($12,000/yr for four years)

Admitted students are automatically eligible with a minimum 25 ACT/1130 SAT and 3.4 GPA.

Students who meet the nomination criteria should apply to Doane College.

Renewable for up to eight semesters if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment status.

Van Hoy Scholarship Up to $40,000 ($10,000/yr for four years)

Admitted students are automatically eligible with a minimum 22 ACT/ 1020 SAT and 3.2 GPA.

Students who meet the nomination criteria should apply to Doane College.

Renewable for up to eight semesters if the student retains good academic standing.

Special Recognition Merit Awards Up to $28,000 ($7,000/yr for four years)

Doane College recognizes student potential based on admittance and strives to make an education affordable. Award notice is provided at time of admittance.

Students who meet the nomination criteria should apply to Doane College.

The scholarship is renewed each year for four years.

Doane's Leadership Award

Admitted students are automatically eligible with a minimum 3.5 GPA.

To be considered, students should:

Renewable for up to eight semesters if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment status.

Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship $5,000 / $10,000

To qualify for the scholarship, students must have a GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and be enrolled in an accredited college for university for the Fall 2014 semester.

Students may apply for the scholarship through the Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship Website.

 

Nancy Talbot Scholarship

Applicants to the 2014 Talbots Women´s Scholarship Program must:

Rocky Mountain Alumni Scholarship $1,500

Must be a student from the Rocky Mountain area in Colorado.

Specific requirements can be found on the Rocky Mountain Alumni Chapter site.

This is a one-time $1,500 award scholarship.

Pagesz.net Scholarship

Students 18 years of age or older, who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens planning to attend college in the fall of 2014 are eligible to apply.

Nebraska Opportunity Grant (NOG) Maximum Award $3,000

Nebraska resident who demonstrates high need. Limited availability.

Eligible recipient names are submitted to the State of Nebraska's Coordinating Commission of Post-Secondary Education pending approval.

2 full-time semesters or 4 full-time terms per academic year

UCC Undergrad Scholarship

Must be a United Church of Christ member entering your sophomore, junior or senior year.
