How to help...
Doane benefits from the numerous volunteers who are willing to give of their time and talent. Are you interested? This page describes five specific areas where you can get involved. Click on each section to see if your talents fit our needs. Submit your name on the volunteer form.
Doane welcomes alumni volunteerism in career development programs offered through the College to Career Center (C2CC) and academic programs. As a Doane graduate, you will also find it very rewarding to engage with students by offering guidance and advice that will assist them towards their own career path. We offer a variety of ways to connect with current students which can include coming back to campus, connecting with students virtually or having students meet you at your place of work.
Alumni play a significant role in attracting bright and talented young men and women to our community of scholars. Help recruit the best and brightest students to Doane by volunteering with our new postcard project, sharing your memories at high school college fairs, and much more. Who is better equipped to speak knowingly about Doane than you, our alumni?
Engaging a growing alumni body – now more than 17,000 and counting – spread across the globe is no easy task. The Alumni Association needs your help in leading the alumni council, building chapters, planning reunions, and assisting at alumni events.
Help promote Doane through social media channels. In today's fast-paced world, social media are powerful and effective communications tools. It's easier than ever to form connections, get a message out and rally people around a cause. We welcome photos and comments when you attend alumni events on and off campus (such as Homecoming or regional chapter events) or serve Doane through volunteer projects.
