Content courses are drawn from different academic departments, allowing students to determine their focus.
The Hansen Leadership Program provides activities and events to help develop leadership for all members of the Doane community. Students pursuing a minor in Leadership Studies may attend Hansen Leadership Program events as a part of their courses, or on their own.

The Doane Difference
With over 60 student-led clubs and organizations, including a Student Programming Board that sponsors competitions and guest appearances, our campus is a community. From Athletes to Zumba enthusiasts, there is a place for you at Doane University.
One of the most important college experiences is engaging and learning in your classes. At the Doane Learning Center, our students have free access to academic counseling and support to exceed in their studies.
At Doane University, we reward students for their achievements both in and outside of the classroom. Through scholarships, grants, work-study, and on-campus employment, our students look forward to starting jobs, not payment plans.
Whether you served on student council, were a member of the honor society, led band or was captain of the soccer team - your Leadership career doesn't have to end in high school. In fact, that was only the beginning for you. The Hansen Fellows Scholarship is awarded to 32 outstanding high school seniors who stand out through a record of leadership and service. The scholarship is work $1,000. Visit the Directions Program page for more information.
Students are given the chance to help their community through diverse, direct-service experiences. Alternative Break groups partner with nonprofit organizations working towards combating a specific UN Sustainable Development Goal.
