The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences - Pre-Health Professions program prepares students for graduate health profession education by providing the knowledge, skills and co-curricular experiences required. The pre-health professions emphasis areas have been intentionally created to meet academic requirements and industry standards. Carefully crafted program outcomes give graduates a competitive advantage.
The Pre-Health Professions track will give students a solid foundation in science and provide opportunities to develop personal skills and attitudes needed for a successful academic and healthcare career. Professional advisors and faculty mentors work with students to build a portfolio and gain experiential learning through job shadowing, evidence-based research and internship opportunities. The program also features pathways into graduate education programs at select health profession schools.

Health Sciences – Leadership
This program prepares students to advance their careers by building professional skills and knowledge that healthcare employers desire, such as critical thinking, problem-solving leadership, healthcare policy and information literacy.
The leadership track is for students who wish to pursue a career in the healthcare field. It's also for healthcare professionals with an associate's degree in allied health, such as respiratory care or medical lab technology, who wish to advance their careers.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics:
Employment of healthcare occupations is projected to grow 18 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 2.4 million new jobs. Healthcare occupations are projected to add more jobs than any of the other occupational groups. This projected growth is mainly due to an aging population, leading to greater demand for healthcare services.
