Trio Earns GPAC Volleyball Honors

(GPAC Release) The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following volleyball players-of-the-week for October 11 - October 17, 2010. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2010-2011 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Volleyball Players-of-the-Week

Player - Terra Andreasen, Doane (Outside Hitter)
Doane outside hitter Terra Andreasen is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Player-of-the-Week. Andreasen, a junior from Bellevue, Nebraska, committed only one attack error on the week as she paced the Tigers with 3.71 kills per game. For the week she had an attack percentage of .455 on 26 total attempts. In a win over Dakota Wesleyan she totaled 18 kills. Doane went 2-0 on the week to improve to 19-4 on the season.

Setter- Heather Davidson, Doane (Setter)
Doane setter Heather Davidson is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Davidson, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, averaged 12.57 assists per set as she totaled 88 total assists on the week. Doane has won eight matches in a row including four on the road. The Tigers are now 19-4 and 10-1 in league play.

Libero- Nicole Skolnick, Doane (Libero)
Doane libero Nicole Skolnick is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Libero-of-the-Week. Skolnick, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, averaged 3.29 digs per set on the week and was perfect on serves (35-35) and serve receive (24-24). She also totaled four ace serves in a pair of Tiger wins in conference action.
