Tigers Win 17 Events in Kearney

The Doane men and women's track and field teams put together another strong showing, winning 17 events at the Charlie Foster Classic in Kearney.  The meet was highlighted by Regan Carlstrom's school record-tying mark in the 55 meter dash.  She posted a time of 7.24, which also tied the meet record.

Kym Bennett set a meet and stadium record in the two mile run with a time of 11:26.93.  DeeJay Silcott was victorious in the 200m dash while Amanda Kermoade won the 400m dash.  Amanda Woodward won the 800m run in her return home.  Erin Fogarty claimed the 55m hurdles in an NAIA automatic time.  The Tiger 4x400 relay team capped off the wins in the track portion of the women's side.

In the field events, Meagan Bauer set a meet and stadium record in the pole vault with a mark of 12-06.25.  Abby Schlueter won the triple jump with a leap of 38-00.0.

On the men's side, Paulvince Obuon qualified for the NAIA national meet in the 55m dash with a run of 6.39.  Cody Ingold was victorious in the 400m dash and Brett Cribelli won the 600y dash.  Holden Kaliff won the mile run and Greg Torres set a meet and stadium record in the 1000m run.  The Tiger Distance Medley Relay team closed out the victories in the track events on the men's side.

Michael Flewelling came away victorious in the pole vault with a mark of 14-06.  Maurice Smith claimed the title in the long jump.
