Tigers Tripped up by Tabor

The Tiger men's basketball team fell behind early and each comeback attempt fell just short as Doane fell to Tabor College, 67-59.  The loss dropped the Tiger's record to 4-4.

Four minutes into the game, Tabor led 10-8.  The Bluejays used an 11-2 run over the next three minutes of play to extend their lead.  Doane could only cut the lead to eight and trailed 42-31 at halftime.

In the second half, the Tiger chipped into the Bluejay lead as they cut it to seven points with 12 minutes remaining.  Tabor answered with a 7-0 run to bring the lead back to double figures.  Doane responded with a 9-0 run of their own to cut the lead to five points with four minutes remaining.  The Tigers could not get any closer and fell by eight points.

Scott Neuhalfen posted 15 points for the Tigers while grabbing eight rebounds.  Jack Lind posted 14 points and 16 rebounds while leading the team in assists as well with three.

Doane was plagued by 21 turnovers while shooting a cold 35-percent from the floor.

Tabor was led by Kyle de Blonk's 16 points.  Aaron Whitelaw added 15 points and a team-high six rebounds.
