Tigers Top Bethel to Move to 2-0

The Tiger volleyball team moved to 2-0 on the year with a four-set victory over Bethel College (IN) on Thursday evening. Doane won 25-14, 25-20, 17-25 and 25-23.

Ashley Axmann led the team once again in kills, posting 15 in the match. Emily Max added 10 kills for the Tigers.

Desiree Erikson posted 20 assists while Lacey Woitaszewski dished out 19 assists.

Karissa Blank collected two of the Tigers' four ace serves in the match.

Defensively, Susan Rollman collected six total blocks while Terra Andreasen notched five total blocks.

In the back row, Lindsay Coffin led the way with 17 digs while Andreasen picked up nine.

Bethel was led by Emily Henry's 15 kills and two blocks.

Doane will face Shawnee State in the final match of pool play on Friday and then face an opponent to be determined in the championship match immediately after the conclusion of the first match.
