Tigers Take Second at Briar Cliff Invite

The Doane men's cross country team did not have the weekend they would have liked in the cold and wet conditions in Sioux City, Iowa, and the Tigers walked away with a second place finish at the Briar Cliff Invite.  Doane finished with 65 points and were runners-up to Dakota State who posted 46 points and the top three individual finishers to win.

Sufian Kimo was Doane's top finisher as he ran a time of 26:01 to place sixth.  Paul Garcia placed seventh with a time of 26:06.

Jarid Holliday posted a solid run with his 14th place finish as he ran a time of 26:22.  Edwin Ronoh ran a time of 26:26 and placed 16th.  Scott Ohlson rounded out the Tigers scoring with a 22nd place finish and time of 26:47.

Jordan Pieper placed 35th as he ran a time of 27:18.  Phil Rohde placed 49th with a time of 27:38 and Tyler Jackman was 50th as he was right behind Rohde with a time of 27:39.

Jory Pflasterer and Zach Christensen were 69th and 70th, respectively.  Pflasterer ran a time of 28:33 and Christensen posted a time of 28:40.  Matt Rosser placed 87th after a time of 29:15.  Zach Sims ran a time of 29:43 and placed 99th.  Omar Fernandez placed 109th and notched a time of 30:02 while Jamil Chehade was 110th with a time of 30:03.

Andrew Ohlson placed 124th and ran a time of 31:01 while Ryan Corrigan placed 142nd with a time of 33:52.

There were 143 runners and 12 teams that scored in the meet.
