Tigers Start GPAC Qualifier

The Doane women's golf team saw a 20-plus stroke improvement from last year's average in the GPAC Qualifier as they shot a 381 team score on Saturday in the First Round of the conference championship. Last year, the Tigers did not have a team round under 400. Doane currently sits eighth after one round of play, with three rounds remaining.

A pair of freshmen paced Doane as JaCee Pilkington and Holly Ryan each shot a 93 (46-47). They are tied for 29th in the individual race. Brittany Sampy is currently 34th after shooting a 95 (46-49). Andrea Rosh rounded out the Tiger scoring as she shot a 100 (53-47) and is 47th overall. Rachel Ryan is tied for 48th after shooting a round of 102 (48-54).

Dakota Wesleyan leads the conference chase after posting a team score of 330. Danielle Bellet of Dakota Wesleyan is the individual leader after shooting a one-under par, 71 (36-35) on the DWU home course.
