The Doane women's soccer team got back on the winning track on Tuesday evening with a 2-0 victory at Concordia University. The victory snapped a five-game skid and the Tigers improved to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the GPAC.
Doane controlled much of the game, out-shooting the Bulldogs 20-3. Shots on goal were in favor of Doane as well, 13-1. Jordan Ludwig picked up a save on Concordia's only shot on goal. Ariel Harris finished with 11 saves for the Bulldogs.
The Tigers got on the board in the 73rd minute of play as Kelsie Grgurich beat Harris after taking a pass from Alyssa Davis. Doane picked up an insurance goal as Concordia had a little miscommunication and the ball got past Harris and Ally Tamerius out ran three Bulldog players to put the loose ball in the open net.
Doane will travel to Briar Cliff on September 26 for a 2:00 PM contest.
