The Tiger volleyball team returned home on Saturday afternoon and picked up a three-game victory over Dakota Wesleyan University. Game scores were 25-13, 25-20 and 25-9. Doane improved to 19-4 on the year and 10-1 in the GPAC.
The Tigers cruised in game one, led by Terra Andreasen's eight kills. In game two, Dakota Wesleyan came out with more fire led by their top attacker, Ashley Kley. However, Andreasen came up big late in the set and finished with seven more kills in the game. Doane dominated game three to close out the win.
Andreasen finished the match with 18 kills to lead the Tigers as the team finished with 51 compared to 29 for Dakota Wesleyan. Susan Rollman finished the match with 14 kills. Emily Max added seven while Ashley Axmann had six and Lisa Lord posted five.
Heather Davison finished the match with 41 set assists. Nicole Skolnick led the service attack with three ace serves.
Desiree Erikson had a game-high 15 digs and Skolnick added 14 digs. At the net, Lord led the team with two total blocks.
Doane will host Morningside College on Wednesday, October 20.
