Tigers Close in on Nationals Bid

Doane made a good run at the NAIA Region III title but fell just short as Black Hills State came away victorious.  BHSU finished with 60 points while Doane ended up with 80 points and finished in second place.  Concordia took third with 91 points.

Leading the way for Doane was freshman Sufian Kimo.  Kimo finished second in the meet with a time of 24:56.37.  Senior Colin Johnston was the second Tiger finisher as he took 16th place with a time of 25:37.53.

Freshman Mike Pivarnick finished 17th overall with a time of 25:48.20 and Ben DeLay was 19th with a time of 26:00.98.

Alan Dreyer was the final scorer for the Tigers with a time of 26:14.10.  He finished 26th overall.

The Tigers will now have to await the announcement of the at-large teams for the national meet.  Those teams are scheduled to be announced on Tuesday (Nov. 7) afternoon.
