The Big Reveal: Tiger Sculpture

The Big Reveal: Tiger Sculpture

Big is not an understatement for our newest Tiger on campus.

At 7.5’ tall and 1,600 lbs., the new bronze Tiger sculpture looms proudly over the entrance of the George and Sally Haddix Recreation & Athletic Center.

Acclaimed sculptor Bob Guelich created the piece for Doane. Last week it’s installation – complete with cranes and leash-like ropes – caused quite a stir on campus.

A dedication ceremony open to the public will be held this Friday, May 3 at 4 p.m. The event will honor Troy Kanter ’90 for his generous contribution to the Haddix Center.

Can’t make it to the big reveal?  Or want a preview?
