Selected works from nearly 50 years of artistry by longtime Doane College faculty member Richard Terrell are on display in Rall Gallery until Feb. 28.
The exhibit showcases works by Terrell from 1960-2009. A professor of art, he joined Doane's faculty in 1970 and teaches courses in design, drawing, commercial art, illustration, painting, art history and interdisciplinary studies.
Terrell will retire from Doane at the end of the academic year.
The display includes a gallery reception Thursday, Feb. 12 from 3-5 p.m. with a gallery talk at 3:30.
Rall Gallery is in Perkins Library, in the lower level of the Communications Center on the Crete campus, 1014 Boswell Ave., in Crete. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. - 11 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 2-11 p.m.
Terrell also will have an exhibit at the Burkholder Project, 719 P St., in Lincoln, March 6-28. He maintains a studio in the Burkholder Project and his paintings, prints and drawings have been shown in numerous U.S. solo and competitive exhibitions since 1965.
