Rall Gallery Features Artist Wendy Bantam
Doane College's Rall Gallery will feature 2008 visiting artist, Wendy Jane Bantam, until April 12. In addition to the exhibition, Bantam will discuss her work on Thursday, April 10th, at 4 p.m. in room 02 of the Communications Building.
The Lincoln artist will be working in studio space in the Chab Weyers Hixson Lied Art building and will participate in selected classes over her time at Doane (March 25 - April 22).
Bantam has developed a national awareness of her work, which is characterized by fanciful and vibrant images in the medium of oil painting. Her work is widely collected and represented in many galleries. She recently received the M.F.A. degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Her works are represented in numerous public, corporate, and private collections, may of which have been loaned for the Doane exhibit. The Rall Gallery exhibition is a 20-year retrospective of the artist's work.
