Peru Holds Down Cold Shooting Tigers

The Tiger women's basketball team struggled to find any consistency from the floor on Thursday evening as they fell to Peru State College in Peru, 62-48. Doane shot 22-percent and was unable to take advantage of 18 offensive rebounds.

Doane received 11 points from Vanessa Munter and eight points apiece from Hannah Helman and Lindsay Shaw. They combined for nine of the Tigers' 13 field goals made. Brittany Lurz had a game-high four assists for Doane.

Lanori Washington led the Bobcats with 13 points as three players were in double figures. Monique McDuffie recorded a game-high nine rebounds.

The Tigers were led in rebounding by Kristine Ortmeier as she finished with six.

Doane will be in action again on November 17 at Southwestern College.
