Northwestern Downs Tigers

Northwestern College (8-4, 4-2 GPAC) used a hot shooting afternoon to take a 76-68 victory from Doane (9-4, 3-2 GPAC) on their home court.  The Red Raiders shot 61 percent for the game, including 64 percent in the first half when they took a 42-25 lead into halftime.

Doane shot 49 percent for the game and used a hot second half to creep back into the game but it was not enough.  The Tigers could only get within five points late in the game.

Dane Cruz led all scorers with 25 points.  He was 11-of-19 from the floor and 3-of-5 from the free throw line.  Brent Cole added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers.

Northwestern was led by Chad Schuiteman's 22 points.  Curt Schilling added 12 points.

Doane will be in action again on December 18 when they travel to Omaha to face the Mavericks of the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
