Moyer Leaps to GPAC Honor

(GPAC Office) The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's indoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for February 7 - February 13, 2011. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2010-2011 GPAC players-of-the-week and players and coaches-of-the-year awards program.

Field Events - Tess Moyer, Doane

Doane's Tess Moyer is the field athlete-of-the-week. Moyer, a freshman from Aurora, Nebraska, finished second in the triple jump competition Saturday at the Concordia Invite held in Seward, Nebraska. She ranks 7th in the NAIA and is the current leader in the GPAC after her leap of 37'1.25".

Track Events - Taylor Tacha, Nebraska Wesleyan
Nebraska Wesleyan's Taylor Tacha is the track athlete-of-the-week. Tacha, a sophomore from Bertrand, Nebraska, finished first in all four of her events at the Darren Young Classic this Saturday and was named the Female Athlete of the Meet. Her events and times include 55 meter dash (7.36), 200 meter dash (26.32), 55 meter hurdles (8.34), and the 4x400 meter relay which posted a time of 4:02.96.
