Midland Holds Back Doane

The Tiger defense, which had been a strength over the past few weeks, was unable to slow Midland Lutheran down in the second half as the Warriors posted a 67-62 win in Crete on Tuesday evening.

The Warriors shot 65-percent in the second half and were led by Luke Simons and Chad Langemeier's 14 points apiece.

Doane, which trailed by one at halftime, shot 52-percent in the second half.  The Tigers received 14 points from Trent Schlautman.  Jack Lind added a double-double, notching 12 points and 12 rebounds in the game.  Jake Johnson finished with 11 points for the Tigers.

Doane was plagued by turnovers as they committed 17 in the game compared to 11 by the Warriors.
