McCaleb Earns GPAC Honor
The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's indoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for January 3 - January 9, 2011. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2010-2011 GPAC players-of-the-week and players and coaches-of-the-year awards program. Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week Track Events - Ben McCaleb, Doane Doane's Ben McCaleb is the track athlete-of-the-week. McCaleb, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, won the 55 meter and 200 meter dashes at the Doane/Scott Nisely Memorial Classic. He ran a time of 6.55 in the 55m and clocked 23.15 in the 200m. Field Events - Ben Zuch, Midland Midland's Ben Zuch is the field athlete-of-the-week. Zuch, a senior from Fremont, Nebraska, won the high jump at the Doane/Scott Nisely Memorial Classic with a jump of 6-10.25. The mark qualifies him for the NAIA Indoor Championships for the fourth year in a row.
