Loper's Second Half Defeats Doane

The Tiger men played a hotly contested first half against the University of Nebraska-Kearney on Thursday evening, but a strong second half by the Lopers gave UNK an 89-66 victory.  The Tigers trailed by three points at halftime, however, UNK shot 62 percent from the floor in the second half to pull away in the win.  The game was played at Kearney Catholic High School due to the Lopers hosting the NCAA Division II regional volleyball tournament.

Doane was led in scoring by Brett McFarland's 18 points.  Tyler Cyboron and Dane Cruz added 15 points each.  Cruz also finished with a game-high five assists while McFarland had a game-high three steals.

UNK was led in scoring by Drake Beranek's 28 points.  He added 14 rebounds.  Justin McCullough chipped in 21 points.
