Lawrence Receives GPAC Honor
The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's indoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for January 24 - January 30, 2011. Track Events - Brijesh (B.J.) Lawrence, Doane
Doane's B.J. Lawrence is the Track Athlete-of-the-Week. Lawrence, a sophomore from Omaha, Nebraska, is the defending GPAC Track Athlete-of-the-Week and NAIA National Men's Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week. He followed up his great performance last week by setting yet another NAIA top mark and a school record in the 60 meter dash posting a time of 6.71 at the Concordia Classic.
Field Events - Ben Zuch, Midland
Midland's Ben Zuch is the field athlete-of-the-week. Zuch, a senior from Fremont, Nebraska, repeats the honor after winning the high jump competition at the Concordia Classic with a leap of 7'0 1/4". This mark sets the bar for the NAIA as Zuch bettered his mark for his fourth NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio.
