Keegan, Belina Honored by GPAC

The Great Plains Athletic Conference released this year's All-Conference team as voted on by the coaches and two Tigers were honored.

Defenders Erin Keegan (Omaha) and Janelle Belina (Schuyler) were key factors in improving the Tiger defense this year.  Keegan, a freshman, and Belina, a senior, helped Doane improve their goals against average by almost two goals per game from a year ago.

Keegan grabbed Second Team All-GPAC honors while Belina was named honorable mention.

Belina had two assists this year against Mount Marty.  Keegan did not have an offensive stat.

The two defenders keyed the right side of the defense and shutdown an opponent's left side attack.

The conference was headlined by Player-of-the-Year Brooke Niles of Morningside College.  Ashley Kirkman of Midland Lutheran College earned Defensive Player-of-the-Year honors while Coach-of-the-Year honors went to Dan Sullivan of Midland Lutheran.
