JaCee Pilkington crowned Miss Nebraska

JaCee Pilkington ’14 was crowned the new Miss Nebraska Saturday night, June 8, in North Platte.

JaCee competed as Miss Western Nebraska against 16 other candidates with the platform “Operation Remember Me,” which honored America’s veterans.

At Doane, JaCee has shown her leadership being involved on campus as member of Student Congress, Campus Crusade for Christ, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the women’s golf team, Doane Choir, Relay for Life and Sertoma. She is majoring in business administration with a minor in political science.

JaCee won the Miss Nebraska competition after being judged on her performance in five categories including talent, evening wear, swimsuit/physical fitness, interview and on-stage question.

She will represent the state in the Miss America Pageant in September 2013 when it returns in Atlantic City, N.J.
