Hinman Earns GPAC Honor

The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's outdoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for April 11 - April 17, 2011. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2010-2011 GPAC players-of-the-week and players and coaches-of-the-year awards program.

Field Events - Sarah Hinman, Doane
Doane's Sarah Hinman is the field athlete-of-the-week. Hinman, a senior from Grand Island, Nebraska, won the discus twice this week while hitting a NAIA automatic qualifying mark at the Midland Throws Meet. She is currently sitting in 9th place in the NAIA performance report and first on the GPAC list. Hinman will continue competition hosting the Doane Relays on April 22-23 in Crete, Nebraska.

Track Events - Jessica Hudelson, Morningside
Morningside's Jessica Hudelson is the track athlete-of-the-week. Hudelson, a junior from Elk Point, South Dakota, was involved in a pair of victories for the Morningside women at the Sioux City Relays on April 15-16. Hudelson won Friday's 800-meters with a time of 2:14.73 and anchored the Mustangs to a triumph in Saturday's sprint medley relay, which clocked a time of 4:16.69. Morningside will compete in the Wayne State College Invitational on Tuesday, April 26, in Wayne, Neb.
