GPAC Recognizes Bickley

(GPAC Release) The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's soccer players-of-the-week for October 11 - October 17, 2010. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2010-2011 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week

Men's Defense- Matt Bickley, Doane - Keeper
Doane keeper Matt Bickley is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Bickley, a freshman from Overland Park, Kansas, posted his second straight shutout as the Tigers defeated Morningside 2-0. For the game he had three saves and has three shutouts on the season. Doane is now 9-5 on the season and 6-2 in league action.

Men's Offense- Nate Polak, Hastings - Forward
Hastings forward Nate Polak is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Polak, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, posted two goals and two assists on the week as Hastings posted a 7-0 win at Sioux Falls. The win improves the 4th ranked Broncos to 13-0 overall and 7-0 in conference play.
