Frazier Announces Resignation

Doane College Athletic Director Greg Heier has announced the resignation of Head Football Coach Tommie Frazier.

"Coach Frazier's resignation was a mutual agreement by the parties and was made in the best interest of the Doane College football program. We wish Coach Frazier and his family well," Heier said.

Coach Frazier said "I feel it is time for me to step aside and let someone else take this program over."

Coach Frazier added, "This is not an easy decision. I wish Doane College and Doane football the best of luck in the future."

Frazier's tenure covered two seasons in which Doane went 3-17. He was hired in June 2005 after a lengthy search that covered roughly 100 applicants.

Heier has named Nick Fulton interim director of football operations until a new head coach is named. Fulton's duties will cover the daily football operations, especially recruiting. Fulton joined the staff in August 2006 after spending the past few years at the University of Sioux Falls.

The search for a new head coach has already commenced and will be completed as expeditiously as possible.
