Exstrom Scores Four, Doane Defeats NWU

The Tiger women used four goals from Samantha Exstrom and held on to defeat Nebraska Wesleyan for the first time in school history, 4-2.  The win moved the Tigers into a tie for third place in the GPAC with 16 points.

Exstrom scored two goals in each half for the Tigers as Doane built a 4-0 lead.  Kelly Spencer assisted on Exstrom's first goal in the 13th minute of play.  Clare Koeppe picked up assists on the next two goals, one coming in the 20th minute and the next coming in the 51st minute of play.  Jordan Hedgecock had an assist on the final Exstrom goal in the 55th minute.

Nebraska Wesleyan rallied with two goals in the 69th and 76th minutes of play but Doane was able to hold off any other scoring opportunities the Prairie Wolves had.

Alicia Exstrom collected seven saves for the Tigers while Sara Perdew picked up five saves.
