Doane's Midwest Institute to Offer Adventure Zone Program in June

The Midwest Institute at Doane College Adventure Zone Program, slated for June 26-30, is for students in 6-11 grades interested in exploring television, science, math, computers, art, music, theater, dance, leadership, traditional American crafts, soccer, scrap booking and learning about other cultures.

Each Adventure Zone class is designed to give children the opportunity to use their creativity and think in new ways. The participants will share their Adventure Zone learning experience with students from Senshu University Matsudo Junior High School in Japan, providing an international experience.

Classes will be held on the Doane campus in Crete, Monday-Friday, June 26-30, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Twelve classes are scheduled. Teachers include Doane College Professors, Local artists and teachers, and experts from the Midwest region.
