Doane Wins at Hastings

The Tiger volleyball team closed out a four-match road trip with a four-set victory over Hastings College on Wednesday evening in Lynn Farrell Arena. The victory was the 18th of the season for the Tigers. Game scores were 25-17, 20-25, 25-18 and 25-19.

The Doane offensive attack was balanced, with five players finishing with seven kills or more. Ashley Axmann led the way with 17 kills on 34 attacks. Susan Rollman added 12 kills and Emily Max posted 10 for the Tigers. Terra Andreasen chipped in with eight kills and Lisa Lord finished with seven.

Heather Davison once again set up the Tiger attack, finishing with 47 set assists.

Behind the service line, Doane picked up four ace serves. Hastings also had four ace serves on their side of the court.

Defensively in the back row, Andreasen led the way with 13 kills. Nicole Skolnick finished with nine for the Tigers.

At the net, Lord posted six total blocks followed by Max with five and Rollman with four.

Doane returns home on Saturday to take on Dakota Wesleyan in a 3 PM first-serve. Saturday is Dig Pink day and fans are encouraged to wear pink.
