Doane Tops Midland in Weekend Swing

The Tiger volleyball used an aggressive serving game to take down Midland Lutheran College on Friday evening in Fremont in three games.  The Tigers used 12 ace serves on their way to a 25-19, 25-17 and 25-18 victory.

Jessy Livers paced the offense with 11 kills and three ace serves.  Ivie Speer and Terra Andreasen added seven kills each.  Kellie Peterson and Lisa Lord added six kills apiece.

Cassie Reicks led the Tiger setters with 19 set assists while dishing out three ace serves.  Heather Davison added 15 set assists and three ace serves as well.

Defensively in the back row, Emily Schwisow notched 22 digs and added three ace serves.  Four Tigers finished three ace serves.  Jessy Livers added 21 digs for the Tigers.

On the block, Susan Rollman paced Doane with four total blocks.  Livers, Peterson and Speer each added two total blocks.

Doane will travel to Blair on Saturday to take on Dana College.  The Vikings defeated Nebraska Wesleyan in five games on Friday evening.
