Doane to Host Screening of Health Documentary "Eating You Alive"

Doane University will host a screening of “Eating You Alive”, a feature-length documentary revealing the truth behind why Americans are so sick and what we can do about it. It will be held on Sunday, October 30 at 2:30 p.m. in Doane’s Heckman Auditorium in Crete.

Featuring leading medical experts - including Doane University’s Director of Pre-Health Professions, Dr. Amanda McKinney - Eating You Alive takes a scientific look at the reasons we’re so sick, who’s responsible for feeding us the wrong information and how we can use whole-food, plant-based nutrition to take control of our health – one bite at a time.

Tickets for the screening are $10 and may be purchased at or at the door on the day of the event. Advance purchase is suggested to give planners an estimated attendance to purchase refreshments for the reception. Doane students may register and attend the event for free. A question and answer session will follow the screening.
