Doane the Site of Student Leadership Conference Today

Principals and about 200 students will be on the Doane campus today for the third annual Nebraska Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) Region I Student Leadership Conference.

Principals bring a team of about six students in Grades 4 - 8 who participate in building leadership activities or who demonstrate leadership potential.  Attendees will enjoy listening to keynote speaker Greg Nakashima on Quantum Learning and attend breakout sessions on teamwork and communication skills.  Students will also find out about a mini-grant available through NAESP and how to apply for it to further a service project in their school.

The conference is limited to those schools whose principals are members of Region I, and includes representatives from Lincoln Public Schools, Wilber Clatonia, Superior, David City Public, Centennial, Sutton, Diler-Odell, Milford Public, Crete Middle School, Southern (Blue Springs), Thayer Central, District #145 Waverly, Beatrice, York Elementary, Norris, Fairbury, Fredstrom, Tri County and Seward.
