Doane Snaps Losing Streak

Doane ended a four-game skid with a 3-0 victory over Mount Marty College on Friday evening in Crete.  The Tigers found the quicker paced offensive attack they had been lacking in recent weeks and posted 56 kills and a .388 attack percentage.

Leading the way were middle hitters Chelsee Marvin and Kari Hochstein.  Marvin led the team with 16 kills while Hochstein posted 15 on 22 attacks (.682 attack percentage).  Jessy Livers added 12 kills for Doane.

Defensively, Emily Schwisow led the Tigers with 21 digs while Amy Janky notched 10.  Marvin posted six blocks while Michelle Ortmeier added four blocks.  Doane posted a .957 serve receive percentage, collecting 43 of 45 opportunities.  Schwisow was 19-for-19 in serve receive opportunities.

Doane will host nationally ranked Northwestern College.  The Red Raiders are coming off a 3-1 victory over Morningside College.  First serve for the varsity game is scheduled for 5:00 PM.  The junior varsity will start at 3:30 PM.  The varsity game can be heard on the Tiger Sports Network.
