Doane Serves Way to Victory

Strong serving allowed Doane College to come away with a 3-0 victory over Dakota Wesleyan in GPAC volleyball action on Friday evening in Crete.  Game scores were 25-15, 25-13, 25-19.  Doane improves to 23-7 overall and 10-4 in the GPAC.

Chelsee Marvin paced Doane with 10 kills and five ace serves as the Tigers collected 14 ace serves on the evening.  Kellie Peterson posted nine kills.

Ashley Sluka collected a game-high 26 set assists.  Amy Janky collected a game-high eight digs.

Jen Miner led Dakota Wesleyan with eight kills.

Doane hit .286 in the match, collecting 36 kills while Dakota Wesleyan hit .073 and notched 21 kills.  Doane finished with nine team blocks to DWU's 3.5 blocks.
