Doane Places Second at Blue River Classic
The Doane men's golf team placed second at this year's Blue River Classic, with Day One played in Crete and the second day played in Seward. Doane shot a team score of 613 while champion Southeast CC shot a two-day total of 583. Hastings placed third with a two-day total of 617. The Tiger "B" team placed sixth with a total of 687.
Cody Gorsett led the second place squad with a total of 150 (77-73). He placed fourth individually. Bo Cribelli was one shot behind Gorsett, shooting a 151 (73-78) and tied for fifth. Colby Enevoldsen and Trevor Rosenberger tied for 13th as they both shot 156 (77-79). John Wiemer posted a 159 (77-82) to tie for 18th.
On the "B" squad, they were led by Will Juilfs' 163 (81-82) as he placed 22nd individually. Ethan Tompkins placed 24th with a two-round total of 167 (79-88). Isaac Wright finished with a 169 (81-88) to place 26th. Brett Cribelli shot a 188 (95-93) to place 34th. Jacob Kringle shot a 198 (101-97) and finished 35th overall. Mike DiNapoli played the first day in a spot that opened up as Union College did not have a fifth golfer. DiNapoli shot a 91 on the home course.
