Doane Opens at NWU Quadrangular

The Tiger men's golf team opened the 2010 fall season at the Nebraska Wesleyan Quadrangular. The Tigers finished fourth out of six squads with a 326 team score. Nebraska Wesleyan had three teams in the meet to go with one apiece from Hastings and Concordia.

Doane was led by freshman Colby Blackman's 76 (37-39). Cody Gorsett posted a 79 (41-38) and Bo Cribelli added an 80 (38-42). John Wiemer shot a 91 (49-42) for the Tigers while Jacob Kringle posted a 92 (46-46).

Nebraska Wesleyan's top team won the meet with a 306 team score.  Jared Blackwell of Hastings had the best individual score, shooting an even-par, 72.

Doane will participate in the GPAC Tournament on Monday in the first qualifier of the season. Doane will host the third qualifier in the spring at Wilderness Ridge GC in Lincoln.
