Doane Falls to Host Montana Tech

The Tigers dropped their second game in a row as they fell to Montana Tech 67-62 in Butte, Mont.  The host school used the strength of 17 offensive rebounds to hold off a Tiger rally.

With Doane ahead 23-20 with 3:40 remaining, UMT went on an 11-2 run to end the half and take a 31-25 lead into halftime.

The second half began with two points from UMT to complete a 13-2 run.  After Doane rallied with seven straight points to pull within one, the two teams went back and forth.  Neither team could build a lead of more than three points until the final seconds when UMT made a pair of free throws to seal the game.

Doane was led offensively by Lindsay Anderson and Ashley Howard's 17 points.  Jackie Knievel came off the bench to add 15 points.  Alissa Holland had a team-high nine rebounds.

The Tigers will wrap up their trip to Montana with a game versus NAIA Division 1 No. 6 Montana-Western.
