Doane Falls in Final Road Contest

Nebraska Wesleyan scored late in the first quarter and it proved to be enough as Doane was shutout for the first time this season, falling to NWU 23-0.  Doane has one game remaining on the season.

Doane committed four turnovers in the game, two resulting in Prairie Wolf touchdowns.  NWU also scored on one possession after holding the Tigers on a fourth down conversion.

The Tigers finished with 153 yards in total offense.  JR Artozqui completed seven passes for 64 yards while Anthony Dunn completed three passes for 16 yards.  Jeremiah Saffold led the receivers with three catches for 32 yards.  The running game was held in check as Randall Reese posted 35 yards on 13 carries.

Seth Styskal led the defense with eight total tackles, six solo.  He collected two sacks for a negative-15 yards.  Josh Warren, Ryan Gruntorad and Ben Kosse finished with seven tackles apiece.

Josh Milz forced the only Prairie Wolf turnover, intercepting a pass and taking it for 22 yards.
