Doane Enter Post-Season at 23-5

The Doane volleyball team re-entered the win column after a one match hiatus as they defeated Concordia University in straight sets to close out the regular season schedule. It was the Tigers' 12th win in their last 13 matches. Doane closes out the regular season with a 23-5 record and 14-2 GPAC mark.

The Tigers used a balanced attack throughout the match, keeping the Bulldog defense off-balanced. Ashley Axmann and Emily Max led the Tigers with 11 kills apiece while Terra Andreasen and Susan Rollman added nine apiece.

On senior night, Heather Davison dished out 35 assists while adding two ace serves and three assist blocks. Nicole Skolnick led the team with eight digs and was perfect behind the service line (11-of-11) and in serve receptions (12-of-12).

Doane totaled six ace serves on the evening as Cassie Reicks posted three to lead the team. Nikki Degenhardt matched Skolnick with eight digs as the Tigers collected 41 as a team. At the net, Doane posted seven team blocks. Max equaled Davison with three assist blocks on the night while Andreasen and Rollman added two apiece.

Doane will be in action on Tuesday, November 9, when they host the Quarterfinal Round of the GPAC Tournament. The Tigers will face the winner of the Morningside-Concordia match-up on Saturday.
