Doane Drops Battle with #4 Hastings

The Doane men's soccer team suffered their second set back in as many games, falling to fourth-ranked Hastings College on Tuesday evening, 2-0. The Tigers are now 4-2 in GPAC play after a 4-0 start.

The Tigers gave the Broncos a strong battle throughout the game, holding Hastings off the scoreboard for 83 minutes of play. In the late stages of game, Hastings was able to get on the scoreboard as a shot by Nate Polak deflected off the leg of a Tiger defender and past keeper Matt Bickley.

The Broncos added a second goal three minutes later to cap off the scoring for Hastings who improved to 10-0.

Hastings out-shot the Tigers, 21-4, for the game. Bickley posted six saves for the Tigers.
