Doane Defense Slows Peru State

Doane used a strong shooting performance to defeat Peru State College 106-49 on Friday evening in Crete.  The Tigers shot 57 percent from the floor, converting 42 shots. 

Leading the way for the Tigers was Alissa Holland.  She scored 20 points in 20 minutes and collected seven rebounds.  Holland was 6-for-6 from the floor.  Lindsay Anderson and Hannah Helman added 14 points each with Desirae Albus chipping in 13 points off the bench.  Doane had 12 players score in the game.

Doane led 47-12 at halftime while holding the Bobcats to 17 percent shooting from the floor.  Lindsey Carlson scored 10 of her game-high 22 points in the first half for Peru State.

Doane will host No. 18 Iowa Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon.  IWU lost to Hastings College in the first game of the Doane Classic on Friday.
