Doane Competes at Dakota Wesleyan Meet

The Tigers got the 2006 season off to a good start with a second place finish at the Dakota Wesleyan Invite with a team time of 2:18:16.88. 

Freshman Sufian Kimo (Norfolk) won the individual title with a time of 26:24.89.  Senior Colin Johnston (Omaha) finished in eighth place with a time of 27:21.48.  Freshman Paul Garcia (El Paso, Tex.) took 20th place and sophomore Holden Kaliff (York) took 22nd place.  Juniors Josh Peavy (Wahoo), Ben DeLay (Bellevue), and Alan Dreyer (Rushville) took 23rd, 24th, and 25th places, respectively. 

"This was a good first meet," said Tiger coach Brad Jenny.  "Now we have to continue to improve and tighten the gap."
